The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office arrested two people after a search warrant led to the discovery of animal remains plus hundreds of marijuana plants.Authorities conducted a search warrant in regard to a narcotics investigation of a residence in the area of 96th Street and West Center Road.Around 350 marijuana plants of various sizes were found and seized.The remains of a dog were found in the garage. They also found 13 other dogs, including 10 pit bull puppies, still alive.The Nebraska Humane Society assisted with the removal of the dogs, and they will follow up with an animal cruelty and neglect investigation.The homeowners, Travis Mountain, 43, and Emily Pearce, 45, were taken into custody.
