AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Friday, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office held a news conference about a search warrant operation in Taylor that resulted in the arrests of two men, as well as the seizure of drugs and firearms.
Those two men face a list of charges after deputies found 46 pounds of marijuana, handguns, cellphones and cash, according to WCSO.
In November, investigators began looking into the two men after receiving a tip from the community.
The sheriff’s office said its goal is to keep residents safe from major drug trafficking organizations and disrupts those operations to “prevent controlled substances” from being distributed and abused in Williamson County, the agency said in a media announcement about the news conference.
