GRANVILLE—A 22-year-old Storm Lake man was arrested about 3:05 p.m. Sunday, March 10, near Granville on charges of second-offense operating while under the influence and first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.
The arrest of Jonathan Misael Matute-Cabrera stemmed from him being found passed out in the driver’s seat of a 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 on the 4400 mile of Nettle Avenue about five miles northeast of Granville, according to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.
Matute-Cabrera had bloodshot/watery eyes, impaired balance and the odor of an alcoholic beverage and failed field sobriety tests.
A roach containing marijuana was found in his lap, according to the incident report.
